The head of the General Department for Registration of Documents said that five girls under 10 year of age were married in the Province of Hormozgan.

“Five instances of the marriages of girls who were under 10 years of age occurred in the province. Three of them occurred in the town of Minab, one in the Bandar Langeh and one instance occurred in the town of Bandar Abbas”, Reza Gholampour said. (ISNA state-run News Agency – Dec. 24, 2011)
