Asghar Farhadi’s A Separation has won the Golden Camel award for the best director at Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF).
A Separation, which has become the most successful film at the box office in the history of Iranian cinema, has won international acclaim all across the Globe. While winning top awards in Germany, Britain, France, Sweden, Ireland, the Netherlands and several other Western countries, it is also been hailed by critics in India, Japan, Russia and Armenia.
A Separation has also been nominated for two Oscar awards in the categories of best foreign film and screenplay.
JIFF has also awarded Sareh Bayat as best actress for her role in A Separation.
The fourth annual JIFF festival was held in Jaipur from January 27 to January 31.
Golechehreh, a film by Iranian filmmaker Vahid Moosaiyan won the Red Rose Award for best film at this year’s JIFF.
Golchehreh has also been recognized with top awards at Goa Film Festival in India and Batumi Film Festival in Georgia.
