A road accident in Iran involving two inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency has left one of them dead.
The Iranian Atomic Agency announced on Tuesday that the two IAEA experts were on a mission near Khandab Complex in Central Province when the car they were riding in went off the road.
A South Korean IAEA inspector was killed in the accident while the other official, a Slovakian national, was transferred to the hospital with injuries.
According to Iranian media, their car swerved off the main road and tipped over.
The accident comes just ahead of a new round of talks between Iran and the IAEA in Vienna on May 13 and 14.
Iranian nuclear negotiators will meet later this month in Baghdad with the G5+1 representatives to try to reach an agreement on the international nuclear disputes with Iran.
