The Ministry of Intelligence is preventing a couple, in which both partners are jailed, from meeting. Journalist Massoud Bastani was arrested in the post-election events and sentenced to six years in prison for propaganda against the regime, participating in a demonstration and disturbing the public order.

Several months after beginning to serve his sentence, Bastani was illegally exiled from Evin Prison to Rajai-Shahr prison. His wife, journalist Mahsa Amrabadi, is serving a one-year sentence for distributing propaganda against the regime by giving interviews to the media and began serving her sentence last month.
