After Gonabadi dervishes resisted Riot Police and civilian agents pressure, who have intended to destroy the worship-place of dervishes, another ultimatum was issued to evacuate and remove the scaffolds in the courtyard of worship-place.

According to a report by Majzooban Noor, Shahrekord’s authorities with informing the Mayor had meeting and declared that if Mr. Abbas Saffarian does not remove the scaffolds in the courtyard of the house within 48 hours, the authorities will deal with it and Mr. Saffarian in response has said that: “The problem is actually not scaffolds but is about holding Dervish ceremonies because the bulldozer is used for demolition not for removal the scaffolds!

He also suggested that, if the “Municipal Security Council” after removing the scaffolds, give us a written guarantee that they will not cause any trouble for this worship-place and dervish ceremonies, I will remove scaffolds immediately but the suggestion was rejected by them.

In the Last year’s meetings was also raised that, Gonabadi dervishes have a security problem and their gathering house should be shut down.

According to the news received so far, “the extremists and rogue forces” to achieve their sinister goals are trying to create tension with dervishes. This shows us that their main aim is to close the dervish ceremonies not just for a problem of Municipality, because in the legal process, there is no need to interfere with the security and intelligence forces.

According to majzooban reporter, now around 2,000 dervishes have camped around the house to protect it from being damaged and they feared that their house would be destroyed if they leave there alone.

It is noted that during the last years, Intelligence service in cities such as Bandar Abbas and Kish with the same pretexts has tried to shut down worship-place of dervishes as far as they destroyed “hosseiniyeh Shariat” in Qom, Hosseiniyeh Boroujerd and tomb of Dervish NaserAli in Tekhte Foulad, Isfahan.
