On Saturday, Farvardin 24, 1392 (April 13, 2013), International Organization to preserve Human Rights in Iran, inside the Stockholm, at a meeting in the Swedish capital of Stockholm, expressed grave concern over the deteriorating health conditions of two detained Gonabadi Dervishes, Saleh Moradi and Kasra Nouri who have been on hunger strike for nearly three months and critical condition of 7 imprisoned Dervish lawyers in Tehran’s Evin prison.
The participants in the rally, protested against inhumane conditions of imprisonment of the seven Dervish lawyers in the basement cells of the Section 209 of Evin prison who are reportly mistreated and also were calling for their immediate release.
They were calling on the Iranian authorities to pay attention to situation of the two Dervishes who are on hunger strike in protest at the deteriorating health and illegal transfer of seven dervish’s lawyers and managers of Majzooban Noor website from Tehran’s Evin Prison’s general ward, Section 350, to solitary confinement in Section 209, which is under the control of the Ministry of Intelligence.
Soudabeh Ghaemi, the organization’s spokeswoman, told the Persian service of Radio France Internationale in Stockholm that: “The aim of the action is that our voices should be heard by the world and if the situation continues as it is, if these two Dervishes are not released and their hunger strike continues, all community members will go on hunger strike.
We have also asked the Swedish government to take action in support of the Dervishes.”
