Several Mmembers of the Freedom Movement’s Central Council Were Summoned

The Intelligence Ministry has summoned several members of the Freedom Movement’s Central Council and its Youth Branch. According to reports, Hashem Sabaghian, a member of the Central Council and Fakhreddin Hakimi, Amir Hossein Kazemi, and Mojtaba Khandan, members of Freedom Movement’s Youth Branch were summoned yesterday. The Intelligence Ministry interrogators call the Freedom Movement “an illegal organization,” and its members engaged in “illegal activities.” According to Article 26 of Iranian Constitution, political parties, groups, associations, guilds, and Islamic Associations or recognized religious minorities are free, on the condition that they do not violate the principles of independence, freedom, national unity, Islamic standards, and the basis of the Islamic Republic. Nobody can be kept from participating in them, nor anyone can be forced into participating in any of them.
