One hundred years old trees have been cut in Tehran

Right after cutting the trees in Vali’asr St. and the resultless protests there are reports about cutting the old trees of Evin area in Darakeh in Tehran.

According to a report of IRNA, just in two nights around 100 trees with more than 40 years old have been cut nearby Darakeh square in Tehran but the Tehran municipality refused the number and declares that it was just “two trees”.

This has been done by a company linked to region No.2 of Tehran municipality during the Eid’s holidays.

It is worth mentioning that the environment and climate experts warned many times about the consequences of cutting the trees in Tehran.
