Kasra Nouri, Gonabadi Dervish rights activist who is being held in Shiraz’s Adel-Abad prison, was denied visitation rights for no reason yesterday on 31 Shahrivar 1392 ( Sep 22 2013).
According to Majzooban Noor, yesterday at noon, when Kasra Nouri’s family was entered prison visiting room, the prison officials did not allow them to visit under false pretenses which led to verbal conflict between the family of the prisoner of conscience and visiting room officers and ultimately resulted in being sent of the special units guards to the visiting room and forcibly taking the family out of the room.
It should be noted that, last week the prisoners of Ebrat ward were banned from face-to-face visitation without giving them any explanation. Instead they had a brief cabin visit.
According to the latest report, at about two weeks ago, at night, Shiraz’s Adel-Abad prison intelligence unit officers raided Ebrat Ward, severely beat jailed Dervishes and forced them to shave off their facial hair. Since then imprisoned Dervishes and their families in addition to being deprived of the right to have any phone call, have been under more pressures.
It is mentioning that, following the attack on Ebrat Ward of Shiraz’s Adel-Abad prison by intelligence unit officers and shaving off Dervishes’ beards and whiskers by force and violence, 9 Gonabadi Dervishes in Ward 350 of Evin prison, have shaved their heads in support of their brethren in Adel-Abad prison and also to protest against this offensive action that made by prison guards.
