Grand Ayatollah Sanei made separate telephone calls to some of the recently released high-profile political prisoners, Messrs Mohsen Aminzadeh, Mir Taher Mousavi, Feyzollah Arabsorkhi, Alireza Beheshti, and Mrs. Nasrin Sotoudeh. The grand ayatollah also praised the political prisoners, ascribing the “current favorable climate” to their efforts. The pro-reform source of emulation also called for the release of the three opposition leaders, Mir Hossein Mousavi, Zahra Rahnavard and Mehdi Karroubi, from house arrest.
