After jailed Gonabadi Dervish rights defender, Mostafa Daneshjou had a sudden unconsciousness, was taken to Tajrish hospital on an emergency basis last night and currently he is in Coronary Care Unit (HDU/CCU).
According to Majzooban Noor, early yesterday morning, Aban 5, 1392 (Oct 27, 2013), Dervish rights lawyer, Mostafa Daneshjou was taken to the hospital on an emergency basis and after the examination and brain scan he was hospitalized in Coronary Care Unit (HDU/CCU) under the supervision of a neurologist.
However the Evin prison infirmary officials refused to attend to Mr. Mostafa Daneshjou who has become unconscious frequently within the last few days and did not allow him to be sent to a hospital outside the prison. According to Kaleme website, this prisoners of conscience was unconscious in the bathroom wednesday evening Aban 1, 1392 ( Oct 23, 2013).
Gonabadi Dervish lawyer, Mostafa Daneshjou is suffering from severe respiratory disease and asthma and according to the coroner’s certificate his lung capacity has diminished with 40 percent during his jail term and is strictly prohibited from being kept in a closed space.
Also Evin Prison’s infirmary officials refuse to transfer other jailed Gonabadi Dervishes who are suffering from acute cardiovascular disease to the specialized treatment centers so this denial has caused harms to them.The authorities refuse to allow imprisoned Dervishes temporary leave from prison for the necessary follow-up treatment and forced them to wear prisoners’ uniform, handcuffs and fetters outside of prison which is absolutely an illegal action. As the Dervishes do not obey this unlawful order, they have been denied life-critical medical care even though according to the first paragraph of Article 235 of Executive Regulation of Prison Law, political prisoners and prisoners of conscience are exempt from wearing a prison uniform, using handcuffs and foot-cuffs during their transfer to medical centers, jurisdictions, education and training centers.
After follow up on Dervishes’s cases, it seems that they have illegally prevented from transfer to hospitals under order from judge Salavati.
Furthermore, another imprisoned Gonabadi Dervish rights activist and the manager of Majzooban Noor website, Hamid-Reza Moradi who has been held for more than two years in Evin prison, is reportedly deteriorated as his condition requires special health care in specialized medical center hospital. But he was illegally prevented from transfer to hospitals outside of prison under judicial and security authorities pressure.
Hamid-Reza Moradi has heart problems and suffers from clogged arteries disease which is worrisome ( 70% Artery Blockage) and he should be immediately transferred to specialized treatment centers.
According to a report by Kaleme website, recently 31 political prisoners at Evin’s Ward 350 condemn the recent illegal actions against Gonabadi Dervish lawyers behind bars in a statement and expressed grave concern over the deteriorating health conditions of Hamid-Reza Moradi and Mostafa Daneshjou.
