Iran has called on the UN Security Council to show an “immediate and appropriate” reaction to the terrorist attack on 14 border officials in Iran.

ISNA reports that Iran’s envoy to the UN, Mohammad Khazai, wrote to the UN, explaining how “a terrorist group referred to as Jeysh-ol-adl has taken responsibility for this attack” and inflitrated the eastern borders of Iran.

Khazai called on the Security Council to make an immediate statement about this terrorist group and its supporters to make it clear that such “criminal actions by any groups at any time will not be tolerated.”

Fourteen Iranian border officials were killed in an attack last Friday October 25 on the southeastern border of Iran. The group Jeysh-ol-adl has taken responsibility for this act.
