Six imprisoned Gonabadi Dervishes in ward 350 of Evin prison, on the twelfth day of the month of Muharram, started fasting and invocation for five days that is associated with prayers to improve the health condition of Hamid-Reza Moradi who his health is perilous and has hospitalized in Shohada e Tajrish Hospital.

According to Kaleme website, the imprisoned administrator of Majzooban Noor website, Hamid-Reza Moradi who has been sentenced to 10 years and six months in prison and is suffering from clogged arteries disease which is worrisome ( 70% Artery Blockage) faced with serious risks that involved with his necessary surgery that is due to the lack of required medical treatment for him.
imprisoned Gonabadi Dervishes in ward 350 have started their fasting on 25th of Aban till 29 (Nov 16-20) that is time for Hamid-Reza Moradi’s surgery and asked countrymen to pray for the well-being of this sick prisoner.
Medical care at Iran prisons is lacking, putting the health and safety of inmates at risk… as Mr.Moradi remained in critical condition and in urgent need of specialized medical care which he could not receive in prison since last year so that led him facing with a dangerous and heavy surgery.

It is imposrtant to say that, if Hamid Moradi had been treated humanely last year and urgently received the medical care he requires, then his disease progression could be slowed or stopped.
Doctors had warned last year about the risk of his legs amputation if he does not receive immediate medical treatment. Unfortunalely his transfer to hospital was took place far too late because of the denial of his necessary transfer to hospital by the prison authorities which is a massive violation of human rights and despite continued follow-up on his critical codition, this sick prisoner was taken to the hospital after one year!
Previously also as an illegal action, judge Salavati had stated that, “transfer of imprisoned Dervishes in ward 350 of Evin prison to the treatment centers is only upon the consent of the Ministry of Intelligence and should be with wearing prison uniform, handcuffs and footcuffs.” and as jailed Dervishes have refused to wear a prison uniform, handcuffs and fetters so all of them were deprived of their right of access to appropriate health-care services. Although according to the first paragraph of Article 235 of Executive Regulation of Prison Law, political prisoners and prisoners of conscience are exempt from wearing a prison uniform, using handcuffs and footcuffs during their transfer to medical centers, jurisdictions, education and training centers.

Also the health condition of another Dervish rights defender, Mostafa Daneshjou who has been sentenced to seven years and six months jail term and is suffering from acute pulmonary heart disease, after refusing further treatment at hospital to protest against breaking the law in the medical care and treatment process to the prisoners in section 350 of Evin prison especially imprisoned Dervishes by judicial and security authorities had deteriorated, was taken to the same hospital far too late.
Currently Gonabadi Dervishes imprisoned at ward 350 of Evin prison who have been sentenced to a total of over 60 years imprisonment, have urged all Iranian people to continuously offer prayers for their brothers in faith’s overall health improve and quick recovery Insha Allah!
