Following the recent attacks of the security forces on “Qaderi kasanzani Dervishes,” about fifteen of them were arrested.
According to the report of the Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), last week, plainclothes security officers attacked to a house as it was used as Tekiyeh in Hassan Abad in Karaj.

An informed source told HRANA: “Fifteen Dervishes in their house in the night of Ashura ritual were doing their ceremony that the plainclothes security forces arrested them.”

He said: “Officers arrested the Dervishes, blindfolded and took them to an unknown location.”

Qaderi Kesanzani and naghshbandi are two Sufi and Sunni branches of Dervishes which mainly recommended on their daily practices by law obliged to perform spells and invocations daily, weekly and annually.

These actions are taken collectively and individually. Qaderi and Naghshbandi Sufi ritual practices in Takaya and practice of constructing the ceremony and prayers are excluded from the congregation.
