
The surgery of imprisoned Gonabadi Dervish, Hamid-Reza Moradi Sarvestani who was supposed to have Vascular surgery due to artery blockage in his legs on Wednesday 29th Aban 1392 ( Nov 20 2013) was postponed because of his undesirable heart condition.
The cardiology consultant regarding his new heart scan, declared his heart condition is unsuitable for surgery and angiography is needed before aortic surgery, therefore a replacement hospital for angiography is necessary.
Now we have to wait to see if judicial authorities let him to continue to be treated in another
hospital or he has to be discharged and returned to Evin prison.
On Monday, Aban 27, 1392 the coroner of Shohada e Tajrish hospital had required Hamid-Reza Moradi, the imprisoned Dervish in ward 350 of Evin prison to sign a medical consent form which in mentioned about his surgery complications, including bleeding, embolism, obstruction, infection, shock, foot amputation and even death of the patient.
Hamid-Reza Moradi who is suffering from severe atherosclerotic vascular disease is now facing with serious risks that involved with his necessary surgery due to the lack of required medical treatment for him for one year by the prison authorities and being held in unsuitable prison conditions and inhumane treatment and because of undue interference of judge Salavati and other irresponsibles in the medical care and treatment process to him.
In an interview with BBC Persian, a close relative of Mr. Moradi talked about the current condition of Hamidreza Moradi in hospital and the serious risks which has involved with his surgery.
