On afternoon of 10 Azar 1392 (Dec 1, 2013) security forces suddenly arrived at the Shohada e Tajrish hospital and by creating an atmosphere of fear and policing in the hospital wanted to get Hamid-Reza Moradi and Mostafa Daneshjou forcibly discharged from the hospital.
According to Majzooban Noor, the security force affiliated with Tehran public security police who were supported by police forces from district 1 and several intelligence agents suddenly arrived at the ward which in two imprisoned Gonabadi Dervishes, Hamid-Reza Moradi and Mostafa Daneshjou are hospitalized and encircled there.
These agents, with at least 5 vans containing a large number of police officers and plain-clothes entered the hospital and surrounded the ward’s building that leading to traffic disruption for several hours.
The reason of the security forces to do like this, is to prevent accumulation of Dervishes in the hospital (!). Security forces bring this false pretext while not only is there no plan for any rally by Dervishes but also the hospital is not a good place to protest!
According to reports, the officers treated sick Dervishes harshly and forced them to use handcuffs and shackles at the hospital. Agents stated that in the event of any refusal by Hamid-Reza Moradi and Mostafa Daneshjou, they should be forcibly discharged from the hospital by their personal consent! The ill Dervishes refused to contribute and demanded to submit the official record of what happened to prisons organization and also to identify the authorities who have ordained such an order.
The head of security team deployed have also stated that, Dervishes have disrupt the security and announced about urgent meeting of Municipal Security Council to address issues of these two sick Dervishes.
Our reporter said that, after about two hours, the security forces were dispersed throughout the hospital area but plainclothes agents were still in the hospital hallway, then, at 2 am, hospital security officers
and nurses clashed with a plainclothes man and he used his electroshock weapon!
This unusual and illegal act performed by the security forces whereas both of these patients are suffering from heart disease. According to hospital doctors’s recommendation, they are in urgent need of medical care and should be immediately transferred to another specialized treatment centers. Due to lack of specialised cardiac and cardiology services in Shohada e Tajrish hospital, they were referred to Tehran Heart Center since more than two weeks ago but Judge Salavati has opposed the move, therefore during this period, almost their necessary medical treatment and health care has been stopped.
The imprisoned administrator of Majzooban Noor website, Hamid-Reza Moradi who has been sentenced to 10 years and six months in prison and is suffering from clogged arteries disease which is worrisome ( 70% Artery Blockage) faced with serious risks that involved with his necessary surgery that is due to the lack of required medical treatment for him. He was supposed to have Vascular surgery due to artery blockage in his legs on Wednesday 29th Aban 1392 ( Nov 20 2013) but it was postponed because of his undesirable heart condition. The cardiology consultant regarding his new heart scan, declared his heart condition is unsuitable for surgery and angiography is needed before aortic surgery, therefore a replacement hospital for angiography is necessary.
On Monday, Aban 27, 1392 the coroner of Shohada e Tajrish hospital had required Hamid-Reza Moradi imprisoned in ward 350 of Evin prison to sign a medical consent form which in mentioned about his surgery complications, including bleeding embolism, obstruction, infection, shock, foot amputation and even death of the patient. It is important to say that, if Hamid Moradi had been treated humanely last year and urgently received the medical care he requires, then his disease progression could be slowed or stopped.
Also the health condition of another Dervish rights defender, Mostafa Daneshjou who has been sentenced to seven years and six months jail term and is suffering from acute pulmonary heart disease, is deteriorated. Mostafa Daneshjou has been admitted in Shohada e Tajrish Hospital due to the Progression of heart failure and is waiting to receive medical treatment.
The imprisoned Dervishes have remained in critical condition and in urgent need of specialized medical care since last year so that led them facing with a serious and life threatening conditions.
