Iranian journalist Massoud Bastani has returned to prison after the authorities refused to extend his furlough.
The Kaleme website reports that prison authorities refused his request for an extension and Bastani reported back to Rejai Shahr Prison in Karaj on Sunday December 8. Bastani had been on furlough since November 10.
He was arrested in the wave of journalist arrests after the 2009 controversial presidential elections.
He was arrested in July of 2009 and was sentenced to six years in jail by Judge Salavati for the charges of “propaganda against the regime” and “assembly and collusion to create disturbances.”
