350 Gonabadi Dervishes from Khuzestan province by sending a letter to representative of Tehran at parliament of Iran, Ali Motahari, demand for investigation into the health status of jailed Dervishes in Tehran’s Evin prison and Shiraz’s Adel-Abad prison and an end their unlawful detention and imprisonment.
According to Majzooban Noor, these Dervishes that their numbers symbolically represent the ward 350 (Security section of Evin prison), in a letter to Ali Motahari, have pointed out to unlawful interfering and lack of attention to ill imprisoned Dervishes at Evin and Adel-Abad prisons by the judicial authorities and the illegal limitation on their rights and have also recalled this lawmaker over his representative’s duties such as processing and monitoring of detainees. They demand an end to unjust conviction and imprisonment for Gonabadi Dervishes.
In this letter, Dervishes from Khuzestan, by reminding Ali Motahari of illegal behavior in dealing with the Dervishes by Iran’s justice and security systems, pointed out to the illegal installation of surveillance equipment in his office by some senior managers in the Intelligence Ministry and have criticized these illegal acts and invasion of privacy which is absolutely a tort, a civil wrong and a human rights abuse, in order to create more security and judicial pressure on Gonabadi Dervishes and violations of their rights.

In the letter, they have also pointed to the destruction of houses of worship (Hosseiniehs) of Gonabadi Dervishes who are followers of Imam Ali (AS) and A’immah (“Imams”) in a number of cities, including Qom (February 2006), Borujerd (November 2007), and Esfahan (February 2009). In some cities, such as Qom and Borujerd, this destruction has taken place after days of surrounding the Hosseiniehs and upon use of extreme violence, assault and battery, and widespread arrests. For instance, in the course of the destruction of the Hosseinieh in the city of Qom alone, 400 Dervishes were injured and 2000 were arrested.

It is worth mentioning; on 17th of Dey ( Jan 7, 2014) 26 political prisoners held in ward 350 of Evin prison, in a letter addressed to Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani warned over the physical condition of ill prisoners including sick imprisoned Dervishes at Evin and Adel-Abad prisons. In the letter, they pointed out to the innocent families of prisoners who are suffering a double injustice because of medical negligence toward prisoners of conscience who have an emergency situation and warned about the occurrence of adverse consequences on prisoners.
Recently, Majzooban Noor has published a report on the condition of ill imprisoned Dervishes who have been denied medical care from security forces.
