Transfer of Hamid-Reza Moradi and Mostafa Daneshjou to Tehran Heart Center

Hamid-Reza Moradi and Mostafa Daneshjou, imprisoned Dervish lawyers in ward 350 of Evin prison were transferred from the Shohada-e Tajrish hospital to Tehran Heart Center yesterday, on 27th of Bahman 1392 ( Feb 16, 2014).

According to a report by Majzooban Noor, Gonabadi Dervishes, Hamid-Reza Moradi and Mostafa Daneshjou were transferred to Tehran Heart Center in Amirabad yesterday evening after three months of obstruction of being sent to this specialized hospital by Judge Salavati.

Hamid-Reza Moradi and Mostafa Daneshjou were remained in critical condition and in urgent need of specialized medical care since three months ago which led them facing with a serious and life threatening conditions because of trying to sabotage judiciary by some judicial authorities including judge Salavati.
It is notable that the surgery of Hamid-Reza Moradi Sarvestani who was supposed to have Vascular surgery due to artery blockage in his legs on Wednesday 29th Aban 1392 ( Nov 20 2013) was postponed because of his undesirable heart condition. The cardiology consultant regarding his new heart scan, declared his heart condition is unsuitable for surgery and Angiography is needed before aortic surgery, therefore a replacement hospital for angiography is necessary. Due to lack of specialised cardiac and cardiology services in Shohada e Tajrish hospital, they were referred to Tehran Heart Center but Judge Salavati opposed the move, so during this period, almost their necessary medical treatment and health care had been stopped.

Hamid Moradi, in addition to serving a 10-and-a-half year penal term, has suffered a serious infection of the foot, which may require amputation, after torture by Iranian officials. He is also afflicted by illnesses including arteriosclerosis and cardiovascular diseases, as well as lumbar disc damage.
Mostafa Daneshjou, jailed Dervish lawyers in ward 350 of Evin prison, was handed a 7-and-a-half year prison sentence, and is a pulmonary patient. The lack of attention to proper healthcare treatment while in custody has also caused cardiovascular disease for him.
