On Monday morning, 28 Bahman, a false declaration was widely distributed across the Lorestan province especially in the city of Khorram-Abad and its countryside in which Dervishes were invited to join a protest rally on 3th of Esfand (Feb 22) marking “Dervish Day”.
According to reports by Majzooban Noor, the names of some prominent and imprisoned Dervishes have been listed in this fake declaration as who inviting Dervishes to join this protest rally. This declaration that was designed so ridiculous, shows the depth of ignorance of conspirators regarding spirit of solidarity and unity among Dervishes.
A group of Gonabadi Dervishes from Lorestan province denied this unfounded declaration announced on publishing textual that those who are responsible for this act aimed at creating just confusion and chaos. The Dervishes have also stated that they will make complaint and take action against perpetrators as soon as possible.
On Esfand 03 , 1387 ( Feb 22 , 2009 ) Gonabadi Dervishes , without coordination and by spontaneous action , gathered in front of the Parliament to protest and taking their rights , because they had been under pressure for years and third worship place ( Hosseiniyeh ) of them had been destroyed in Isfahan.
The protest movement of the Gonabadi Dervishes faced by the reaction with military and security forces so that at about 850 Gonabadi Dervishes arrested and were sent to detention centers in Tehran .
Since then , the third day of Esfand month was named as “Dervish Day “and Sufi Dervishes in all over of the world have celebrated this day.
