Imprisoned Dervish rights activist, Kasra Nouri in a brief note has warned that if the authorities would not pay attention to the situation of the ill Dervish prisoners in Ward 350, will start a hunger strike.
According to a report by Majzooban Noor, jailed Gonabadi Dervish in Nezam prison in Fars province, Kasra Nouri after being informed about the events of recent days in ward 350 of Evin prison warned that if authorities do not take effective action upon ill Dervishes’s situations until the end of Saturday, he will begin his hunger strike on Sunday at dawn. This prisoner of conscience has stated: ” I ask the authorities to avoid social unrest and do not reveal any more oppression of Dervishes in Iran.”
It is worth mentioning that, security and judicial pressure on Gonabadi Dervishes and violations of their rights has been on the increase. As on Tuesday, 6 Esfand 1392 (Feb 25, 2013), due to authorities’ lack of medical treatment and preventing imprisoned Gonabadi Dervish in ward 350 of Evin prison, Ashin Karampour from being sent to the hospital despite his severe pain, Hamid-Reza Moradi and Mostafa Daneshjou, imprisoned Dervish rights activists who were admitted to Tehran Heart Center, in protest action, returned to Evin prison.
It is notable that, Kasra Nouri along with another jailed Dervish Saleh Moradi on 27th Day 1391 (Jan 16, 2013) had been protesting with a hunger strike against the illegal transfer of their Dervish lawyers to solitary confinement in Evin prison for 90 days and after transfer of seven Dervish lawyers to general ward 350, they ended their prolong-term hunger strike.
