Behnam Ebrahim Zadeh Is on Hunger Strike in Support of Jailed Gonabadi Dervishes

Behnam Ebrahim Zadeh, the prisoner of ward 350 of Evin prison started hunger strike in support of inmate Dervishes.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Behnam (As’ad) Ebrahm Zadeh, the labor activist, started his hunger strike in support of Dervishes who are on strike and in protest to continuous deliberated medical negligence and harassment by jurisdiction officials and prisons authorities.

Behnam Ebrahim Zadeh has been arrested by intelligence service and security forces on June 19, 2010 and sentenced to 20 years in prison by revolutionary court. This sentenced was reduced by court of appeal to 5 years.

10 Dervishes are on hunger strike in Evin, Rajaei Shahr, Shiraz and central prison of Bandar Abbas currently.
