Reza Shahabi Zakaria, the labor activist and political prisoner, sent back to prison despite the disagreement of the physician.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Reza Shahabi Zakaria, the labor activist and political prisoner of ward 350 of Evin prison, who was hospitalized in a medical center outside the prison due to his spinal problem, has been sent back to prison by a sudden order of the prosecutor despite disagreement of physicians.
An informed source said to HRANA’s reporter, “He was supposed to have a surgery for his spinal lumber problem on coming days”.
Reza Shahabi is a member of the board of directors of Bus Drivers of Tehran and Suburb syndicate and received a human right prize last month.
Need to be mentioned, this labor activist has been sentenced to four years in prison, five years being banned from any union activities and 70 million Iranian Rials fine, by the court of appeal.
