Farmers in southern Roudbar have protested declining prices for agricultural products by unloading the fruits of their labour in front of the governor’s office.

The Dana website reports that following the sharp fall in the price of agricultural products, farmers who have suffered heavy losses gathered in front of the Roudbar South governor’s office.

The report indicates the farmers maintain that they have lost all that they invested including a year’s worth of time and hard work.

The farmers gathered early in the morning and remained on the streets until afternoon.

The farmers blame the government’s agricultural policies for their predicament and expressed their anger by breaking the office sign and demanding immediate action from the administration.

The report indicates that security forces arrived on the scene three hours after the protests began.
