Based on the news received to Majzooban Noor, recently a series of discussions and talks against Sufism and Islamic mysticism, are being held in ideology courses in which the police officers and employees on a regular basis have been forced to attend with the aim of presenting a distorted and misleading image of Sufism and negatively influencing their attitudes toward Islamic mysticism.
According to an eyewitness, the lecturer of this class is a young clergyman called “Abdol Rahim Beiranvand” who has been closely involved in creating tensions against Gonabadi Dervishes for a long time. He is attempting to influence the police force’s perceptions of Dervishes by getting help from his book entitled “Materialistic spiders” which is full of allegations and offensive comments against Sufism, especially the Gonabadi order.
This report adds that, holding classes such as this in the most important military organization in Iran which is responsible for maintaining internal security is indicative of the deep-rootedness of anti-Sufism policies in the state and is used as an effective tool in the race between political parties within the state which is destroying the county.
It is worth noting that Beiranvand is the same clergyman whose mischief-making, villainy, and depravity led to the destruction of Gonabadi Dervishes’s worship-place (Hosseinyeh) in the city of Borujerd.
