The sudden entrance of Evin Prison security forces into Shohada-e Tajrish Hospital caused Mostafa Daneshjou, the imprisoned lawyer of Gonabadi Dervishes, who was hospitalized in the internal division, heart and breathing problems, and consequently he was transferred to CCU.
As reported by Majzooban Noor, Evin Prison officials sent their security force guards to the hospital who violently entered the rooms where the jailed Dervishes had been hospitalized and interrogated them, the medical team, the soldiers assigned to the prisoners, and a number of nurses, over the false accusation that the Dervishes had had press interviews without even mentioning what media they were referring to.
This unexpected and unreasonable violence created extreme stress for Mostafa Daneshjou who has been hospitalized because of Cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases and should not experience any stress which is a serious threat to his health conditions according to the doctors. Consequently he was transferred to CCU.
This is not the first time that the security force has had an intimidating presence in Shohada-e Tajrish Hospital, as Special Guard and military forces have violently entered the rooms where the ill Dervishes are hospitalized several times. This has created tension in the hospital and caused stress for patients, nurses and the rest of the personnel.
Despite specialists’ strong recommendation as to transferring the sick Dervishes to specialist medical centers, but any transfer of these patients elsewhere depends on recognition and coordinate with Intelligence Ministry and needs to obtain a permit from Intelligence Ministry.
Mostafa Daneshjou is now serving the third year of seven and a half years of imprisonment which was determined by Judge Salavati. This lawyer along with two other lawyers and Dervish rights activists, Hamid-Reza Moradi and Afshin Karampour, has been hospitalized in Shohada-e Tajrish Hospital.
