Mohammad Hossein Emami, the head of Yazd province Crisis Management, reported that the water supply has been cut off in nine cities and towns in the province.
The report on Yazdi News indicates that the municipal water supply is usually provided by transfer from other areas and a fall in precipitation in the region has caused the complete water shutdown.
The water supply to the City of Yazd schools and daycares has also been cut off since Tuesday May 6 due to problems in water transfer.
According to Yazd-e Farda, in the early hours of Thursday May 8, transferred water finally entered the city’s reservoirs and will finally be distributed in the city’s water network.
