Imprisoned Gonabadi Dervish in Evin’s ward 8, Reza Entesari refused to go to visit hall due to being forced to wear prison uniform.
According to Majzooban Noor reporter, this morning 7th Khordad 1393 ( May 28, 2014) Reza Entesari who along with Farshid Yadollahi have been illegally transferred to the public offenses sections of evin prison since a month ago, refused to go to visit hall due to unlawful and forcible compulsion to wear prison uniforms which is absolutely against Jails rules and regulations. In fact, according to the first paragraph of Article 235 of Executive Regulation of Prison Law, political prisoners and prisoners of conscience are exempt from wearing a prison uniform, using handcuffs and footcuffs.
The two Dervishes, Reza Entesari and Farshid Yadollahi were suddenly transferred from Evin Prison to Rajai-Shahr Prison, west of Tehran. The illegal transfer of them and the lack of medical treatment for imprisoned human rights lawyers, like him, along with other prisoners of conscience prompted a protest in early March. Despite official promises to return them to section 350 of Evin, Farshid Yadollahi and Reza Entesari are being separately held in the ward 7 and 8 which are for ordinary sentenced prisoners in Evin. It is notable that, according to Iranian prison regulations, inmates must be separated by their crimes and political prisoners and prisoners of conscience including jailed Dervishes, should not be mixed with ordinary inmates.
Reporter, photojournalist and a member of Majzooban Noor website ( Nematollahi Gonabadi Order News Site ) Reza Entesari had been working for various TV Channels inside and outside of Iran. After the events of 1388 he was black-listed at “Seda-Sima” (Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting) and was banned from doing his job there. Reza Entesary was arrested without a warrant during the night time in Majzooban Noor website office by security forces on 13 , Shahrivar 1390 (September 4, 2011). He was sentenced by Branch 15 of the Islamic Revolution Court in July 2013 to eight years and six months imprisonment on charge of preparing documents and activity in “Majzooban Noor website”.
