Workers and staff at Iran Tire have begun a protest against layoffs, wage cuts and a compulsory increase in work hours.

IRNA reports that the workers gathered at Iran Tire, saying that since February, many of their colleagues have been laid off without severance.

The workers add that their work hours have increased from eight to twelve hours a day while total compensation has shrunk.

The report adds that no one from management has made any effort to address the workers’ demands.
