According to a report by Radio Zamaneh, the head of the Javan Reporters Club, Ebrahim Zadegan, has been summoned to court for “the publication of falsehoods”, activist Mehdi Khazali reports.

Mehdi Khazali, a reformist political activist, wrote on his Facebook page: “After about two years of the Javan Reporters Club publishing falsehoods, and my complaining about it, finally the director of the club has been summoned to court to face charges.”

Khazali said he hopes “a just verdict” will be issued by court to stop them from “lying and slandering.”

The Reporters Club is linked to the Islamic Republic’s national broadcaster, Seda va Sima. Ebrahim Zadegan was formerly a security official active in the Revolutionary Guards intelligence forces.
