According to Radio Zamaneh’s report, Iranian authorities have forbidden the family of jailed journalist Saba Azarpeyk from talking to the media.

The International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran reports that the family has been told that if they wish their daughter’s early release, they should stay away from the media.

Sixteen days into Azarpeyk’s arrest, there still has been no official statement regarding the reason for her arrest.

Since her arrest, she has been held in solitary confinement and has had no contact with her family.

Azarpeyk was arrested on May 28 at her workplace, the office of the weekly magazine Tejarat Farda.
