According to a report by Radio Zamaneh, a strike by reporters for Iran’s national broadcaster Seda va Sima in Ardebil Province has gone into its third day as they protest a withheld wages and their lack of insurance.
Sabalaneh reports that it is now the third day that freelance reporters from Ardebil Seda va Sima in Parsabad, Meshkin Shahr, Khakhal, Sareyn, Nir, Aslandooz, Namin, Kosar and other cities have gone on strike and stopped relaying news to Ardebil central broadcasting.
The reporters say their pay has been delayed for more than two months, and what has been paid is not even enough to cover cab fare.
According to reports, the shortage of news is “fully evident” in the news programs broadcast by the central Ardebil Seda va Sima.
