A non-political and non-Dervish prisoner, Rasoul Hoveyda who is being held in the financial section of Evin prison where the two of jailed rights activists of Gonabadi Dervishes are there too , by submitting a letter announced that will go on a hunger strike to express his sympathy with Dervishes.
According to Majzooban Noor, Rasoul Hoveyda who is convicted on financial charges, has declared that he joins his voice with the Dervishes’s voice for justice and reparation and will continue his hunger strike until his loved ones (Dervishes)’s demand, which are all rights, are substantially met. He also declared that the only accountable to shed his brother’s blood are those who are responsible of oppression that Muslim Nematollahi Gonabadi Dervishes have been for years and are still suffering.
Rasoul Hoveyda, in a statement entitled ‘The Will’, says goodbye to his loved ones and seek their forgiveness. He also calls on freedom-loving people to bring to justice the Iranian regime’s authorities involved in torturing prisoners. He adds: ” It is my will that all freedom-loving people of the world, all free men and women worldwide, to follow up our complaint and put all perpetrators and officials related to the tortures and cruelties on trial. As my last word to all ignorant friends who are making all these oppressions, I would say, If you do not have any religion, then at least be free (open-minded) in your present life. His testament ended with “goodbye”.
