Yesterday morning, Tuesday 25th of Shahrivar 1393 (16 September 2014) Evin Prison’s Special Guards raided the ward 4 where the 52-year-old Gonabadi Dervish, Hamid-Reza Moradi is being held and under the pretext of inspection destroyed many of his personal items.
One of their cellmates told the Majzooban Noor that, due to his hunger strike, he has lost more than 12 kg and is also suffering from abdominal pain.

When the guards came to the ward, we thought they would force him to go to the infirmary due to his dire physical condition but we disbeliefly understood that their aim is to attack on his personal belongings.
Dervish rights activist, Mr. Hamid-Reza Moradi who is suffering from heart disease and had recently undergone heart surgery, along with 8 other imprisoned Dervishes in the jails of Evin in Tehran and Nezam in Shiraz, after being transferred from Shohada e Tajrish hospital to ward 4 of Evin Prison has gone on a mass hunger strike, now is on the 16th day of his hunger strike. Nine jailed Dervishes have written their testaments and ready to die. They also have mentioned that they would stop the strike provided that the view and attitude on dervishes’ community as a security view to be removed and wiped out.
Previously on Thursday, 20 Shahrivar 1393 (11 September 2014) Evin Prison’s Special Guards also raided the ward 8 where two Dervish rights activists, Mostafa Daneshjou and Reza Entesari are being held and under the pretext of inspection destroyed many of their personal items. Dervishes were forced to go to prison infirmary but they refused to leave the ward.
