Today 29th of Shahrivar 1393 ( September 20, 2014) security forces had a violent confrontation with peaceful Gonabadi Dervishes who had planned to gather in support of their jailed lawyers Dervishes in front of the Tehran Prosecutor’s office and arrested more than 170 Dervishes in the streets nearby as they are the signers of Campaign “Dervishes migration from Iran to Evin prison”.
The Signers of Campaign “Dervishes migration from Iran to Evin” in an address to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader, to the information minister, lawmakers and other state officials have called for an investigation into the violation of the rights of Dervishes by security and judicial entitiesand cited that if their demands based on Sharia and law are not met; they would prefer jail to life.

They have demanded to open the doors of prison to them, becouse they are banned and deprived of rights, law, justice, life and liberty.

The imprisoned Gonabadi Dervishes who are now on hunger strike, earlier by releasing a will had announced that they would not stop hunger strike if the security view on Dervishes was not lifted.

The nine jailed Gonabadi Dervishes in Tehran Evin prison and Shiraz Nezam Prison have announced that their hunger strike will continue until their demands which is ” removing and wiping out the view and attitude on Dervishes’ community as a security view ” are met. They have released their wills and announced “We will not stop hunger strike until death”.

The Detainees were transferred individually to different police stations across Tehran.
