Following publishing the news of mass arrest of Gonabadi Dervishes in the streets leading to Tehran Prosecutor’s office and transfer of them to various Police stations today on Saturday 29 Shahrivar (20 September), a large number of Dervishes from other parts of the country, are traveling to Tehran to join their detained brothers and sisters.
According to Majzooban Noor, the mentioned Dervishes have announced that, tomorrow, Sunday, 30th Shahrivar (Sept 21) at 9 am, will gather in front of Tehran Prosecutor’s office and call on all sides to immediately put an end to the violence and pressure that has been imposed on all Gonabadi Sufis, otherwise, they will be ready to be imprisoned.
It should be noted that, Security guards today from 10 a.m. until now have arrested over 500 protester. Some are kept and monitored in military vehicles in the streets around the Bazaar of Tehran.

The mentioned detainees who had gone with hands tied, eyes closed, planned to gather in front of the prosecutor’s office in protest against the being under oppression for years and also mistreatment of jailed Dervishes, were arrested harshly before their gathering and transported separately to diffrent police stations in Tehran. They called for an investigation into the violation of the rights of Dervishes by security and judicial entitiles and cited that if their demands based on Sharia and law are not met; they would prefer jail to life.
The reports indicate that, Dervishes voluntarily, delivered their cell phones and personal belongings to agents and got in military vehicles for transfer to detention centers.
Also, many women who were brutally beaten in the streets by security forces and the families of nine jailed Gonabadi Dervishes that are now on indefinite hunger strike in prison, are among the detainees.
