Pan-Iranist party member Reza Kermani has been arrested in order to serve his prison sentence. Reza Kermani had been sentenced to one year in prison for acting against national security by interviewing with foreign media. His verdict had been upheld in the appeals court.

His arrest has taken place while he had one more week left until he had to appear at the prison.

Reza Kermani was arrested twice since the 2009 disputed presidential elections.
