A Gonabadi Dervish, from Fars province was expelled from Kavar’s Pasargad iron foundry.
According to Majzooban Noor, Mr. Salim Pourfarjam, a resident of Kavar county in Fars province who has worked for years at the Kavar’s Pasargad iron foundry, after receiving repeatedly summons from security agencies for interrogation, was fired and removed from work by “Harasat” (state security office in the factory) only because he is Dervish.
For many years, Nematollahi Gonabadi Dervishes, have been dismissed from their professions and jobs by the command of security agencies for various excuses. Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Iran, Dr. Ahmed Shaheed recently released his last report on human rights violations in Iran in which he has referred to the dervishes who are excluded from government jobs.
The Iranian officials, especially the judicial authorities, have always denied the imprisonment or exclusion from government jobs due to being Dervish (Sufi) and consider Human rights reports as false reports.
