
After passing three years and following the lack of investigation of Dervishes’s complaints against 4 clerics, the principal offenders of Kavar event, Gonabadi Dervish, Saleh Moradi in a new letter to the officials of the Special Court for Clerics calls for urgent action and judicial consideration in this case.
According to Majzooban Noor, Gonabadi Dervish rights activists, Salehedin Moradi who has been temporarily released from Adel-Abad prison after 2 years in jail, was detained in September 2011 during a wave of arrests of Gonabadi dervishes following the outbreak of conflicts against the dervishes in the Kavar County which was created by four clergymen which resulted in the arrest of many dervishes including the lawyers of dervishes and journalists and also the death of one young Dervish. He brought a lawsuit to the Clerical Special Court against the main causes of conflicts in Kavar county in order to revitalize a certain part of the violated rights of the Dervishes, and also through the transparency make the public aware who indeed were the real perpetrators behind the curtain. Majzooban Noor reported earlier that, the judge in response to one of the plaintiffs concerning the outcome of the hearing of the case said; ” on the order of authorities, we are not allowed to issue the verdict”.
Salehedin Moradi who is also one of the plaintiffs in this case, in that letter by referring to human rights violations of Gonabadi dervishes by rogue extremist religious has said that, unfortunately by passing three years after the complaint not any result has been seen yet and the respective judge to this case had said; “we are not allowed to issue the verdict due to the command of high authorities”!
The mentioned dervish warned against the abuse of these 4 instigators to create a new crisis in the region and urged the authorities in this case to “not fear others and consider only God’s presence.”
It is worth mentioning that the outcome of these four, more than a hundred years in prison for the dervishes and followers of the Gonabadi Sufi Order, which seven of lawyers among these people have been sentenced to 60 years in prison, and also a large number of dervishes have been sentenced to 2 to 3 years in jail along with exile, lash and social exclusions. Also recently Iran’s Supreme Court approved of the Shiraz Revolutionary Courts ruling upon 7 Gonabadi dervishes which were convicted of belligerence and corruption on earth. Based on this ruling, 3 of these dervishes were sentenced to life long exile and 4 were sentenced to 28 years (in total) of temporary exile.
