Yesterday evening on Monday, 28th of Ordibehesht 1394 (19 May, 2015), Mostafa Daneshjou, the lawyer and rights activist of Gonabadi Dervishes, who was jailed for more than four years in jails of city Sari and Evin prison in Tehran, was released.
Mr. Daneshjou in a short speech stated: “the years of prison have passed, it was indeed an experience which has made me more determined and resolute on the path I have chosen. As Hafiz cited; “I stand like a candle, do not make me scared of fire”. He kept on “I have not changed, but we should see those who have done all this on us have changed, or still insist on repeating their previous mistakes?”
He added that “I hope that security-based approach toward dervishes be lifted and removed for good”.
Hamid-Reza Moradi Sarvestani, another jailed Gonabadi dervish hospitalized in Shohada e Tajrish medical complex saw Mustafa Daneshjou off in his freedom. Also the family of the mentioned freed dervish as well as a number of Gonabadi dervishes with bunches of flower and sweets some hours before the release were waiting to welcome him outside the Shohada e Tajrish hospital.
Majzooban Noor reports that his freedom has come into enforcement in the Shohada e Tajrish hospital, because he was hospitalized due to the lung disease and severe asthma.
Mostafa Daneshjou in year 1390 ( 2011) was sent to the prison of Sari to spend his period of jail, meanwhile, another file was formed against him, subsequently, was sentenced to three years and six months imprisonment again.
It is pertinent to say that apart from the mentioned dervish, five other rights activists of Gonabadi dervishes named Hamid-Reza Moradi, Salehedin Moradi, Reza Entesari, Mostafa Abdi and Kasra Nouri are imprisoned in the prisons of Tehran and Shiraz, and also seven are in exile in provinces of Sistan and Baluchistan and Hormozgan
