Jafar Eghdami, Saeid Masouri and Afshin Baimani, political prisoners of hall number 12 in Rajaei Shahr prison, have been transferred to intelligence ward, known as Sepah (Revolutionary Guard) ward.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), these three prisoners were summoned for interrogation to this ward for unknown reasons, on Wednesday June 10.
At the same time, Mohammad Seif Zadeh, imprisoned lawyer in Rajaei Shahr prison, has been transferred to hospital for medical care.
On the other hand, Rasoul Hardani is in his 8th day of hunger strike, in Evin prison. Mr. Rasoul Hardani started his hunger strike in protest to medical negligence, on June 2.
Jafar Eghdami, who is serving his second political sentence, has been tried for attending the memorial ceremony for victims of 80s and reading a poem in Khavaran cemetery. He first was sentenced to 5 years in prison and in an irregular and strange process has been sentenced to 10 years in prison in appeal court. He was first transferred to Evin prison and then exiled to Rajaei Shahr.
Saeid Masouri was arrested along with Gholamhossain Kalbi, in December 2000, on charge of cooperation with MEK, in Dezfool and since then he has not had any furlough in Intelligence service of Ahvaz detention centre, Evin and Rajaei Shahr prison. He had been sentenced to death in 2002, but this sentence was reduced to life time prison. After the initial arrest, he spent 14 months in solitary confinement in Ahvaz detention center and then was transferred to ward 209 on Evin prison. Currently he is serving his sentence in Rajaei Shahr prison.
Afshin Baimani was arrested on September 5, 2000, on charge of helping his brother, Mehdi Baimani, to escape. First he was sentenced to death, this sentence was confirmed in appeal court, but after 6 years has been reduce to life time prison. He is currently serving his 15th year in prison in Rajaei Shahr prison.
