Five Gounabadi Dervishes Arrested in Dezful

Court of Dezful (a southern city of Iran in Khuzestan province) issued an order to arrest five dervishes due to lack of bail on Tuesday, December 13, 2016. These five Gounabadi dervishes were indicted and prosecuted due to the objection to offensive and hostile speeches addressed by some young Mullahs against Sufi and mysticism.

According to Majzouban Noor, these five Gounabadi dervishes named; Goulamreza Abrkar, Masoud Majdinasab, Hassan Diapour, Ghasem Mangari, and Behnam Malaki after being interrogated by the prosecutor, did not accept the announced bail by the judicial authorities, subsequently, have been sent to prison.
Also according to the mentioned report, the prosecutor of the city has filed and indicted against the lawyer of the aforementioned dervishes, Mr. Ebrahim Shanbadi. 

The prosecutor of Dezful has opened a file against Mr. Shanbadi due to the disclosure of documents and clients’ charges as well. This lawyer should be present to defend his charges in the court of Dezful within five days.
It is pertinent to mention that after exhibiting the Sacred Defense Week in the city of Dezful and provocative speeches by some young Mullahs against beliefs and perspectives of Gounanabi dervishes, a group of dervishes and followers of mysticism mustered up at the exhibition and called for its closure that with the intervention of the police this peaceful assembly turned into violence, afterwards; some dervishes were arrested and in the following accused of disturbing public order, demolition of public properties, blasphemy, and insulting top officials by the court of Dezful.
