Two Iranian sites approved as World Heritage sites
The Jameh Mosque in Isfahan and Gonbad-e Qabus Tower in northeastern Iran have been approved as World Heritage sites in the 36th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, which is currently taking place in St. Petersburg.

UNESCO adds Persian garden to World Heritage List
Tehran Times – The Persian garden was registered on UNESCO’s World Heritage List on Monday. The decision to register the property on the list was made during the 35th session of the World Heritage Committee, which opened in Paris on June 19. The meeting comes to an end today.
