According to Human Rights House of Iran the order for Hossein’s transfer from prison to a hospital was issued 2 weeks ago. But Hossein who is in desperate need of immediate surgery and medical attention has been prevented from leaving prison and is languishing behind bars.

In a letter to the prosecutor, Hossein asked that he not be shackled again when being transferred to the hospital. He also asked that he be allowed to recover at home on prison furlough per the doctors’ recommendations.

Not only were these requests not accepted, Hossein was not even transferred to a hospital to receive treatment. He is still in Evin’s ward 350 suffering with a kidney disease after undergoing 2 surgeries in the past six months.
