After repeated destruction of 3 of the Dervishes’s worship place (Hosseiniyeh) , belonging to the Nematollahi Gonabadi followers in the cities of Qom , Boroujerd and Isfahan , and more pressurizing on the followers of Sufism and Mysticism , Those followers from all over Iran decided to gather in front of the parliament of IRI into be able to make their members in the parliament to hear their voice on their citizen’ s lawful rights.
But the special riot gourds and security forces with plain clothes , practically had turned the streets around Baharestan Square into a military base.
The night before the gathering, five of Dervishes :
1. Ali Akbar Bonakdar
2. Hassan Kashani bidokhti
3. Mohammad Sadegh Moradi sarvestani
4. Amin Karimpour
5. Reza Moti Ghavamin
Were arrested by the Intelligent service agents and security polices and plain clothes . They were taken to Evin prison and put into the solitary confinement . On the day of gathering , 22nd of Feb 2009 , hundreds of Dervishes were arrested in the streets and Metro stations around the Baharestan Square , before they could arrange a peaceful gathering . They were all take to military prison , on allegations like : actions against national security , propaganda against the regime , disobedience on police order and unlawful gathering .
On 26th of February of the same year , the Majzoonban Noor News site of Nematollahi Gonabadi Dervishes issued a letter to the B.N high commissioner of Human rights , explaining all the atrocities and the denials of all Dervishes legal rights . In that letters it was stressed that : We as Nematollahi Gonabadi Dervishes are Moslems and we must not be pressurized , jailed , lashed and exiled by a government that calls itself Islamic . It was also requested in that letter to U.N.H.C of Human Rights , to act before any disastrous event happens.
After the above mentioned letter , Mr.Mehdi Karroubi , the secretary general of the Etemad Melli party and one of the leaders of the Green Movement of Iran , issued a letter to Mr.Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejeie who at that time was the minister of Intelligence ,criticizing the destruction of Dervishes’ s worship place in Isfahan . In his letter he wrote :
” repeated pressure and limitation ” are illegal on the Dervishes and it is against Islamic rules . He posed this question in his letter that :
” on which loyal and religious permission has this action been taken place ? “. ” What purpose do we have to create problems of ourselves ? ” . Did we really solved our economical , political , cultural and social problems and is the only problem to be solved are these worship place ( Hosseiniyeh ) ? “. “
In this complex world , with our problem with sanctions , and existing insecurities in countries around , and within , is it really in our interest to glorify and complicate partial and small problems , instead of using our power to solve the people’s problems improve their conditions and resolve their needs ? ” ” Who’s hands are involved in these action ? ” . ” Is this the stranger’s hand or lack of explanation ? ” What kind of providence is this that one in Qom , another day in Boroujerd and today in Isfahan ?
After publishing Mr karoubi’s letter to Minister of Intelligence , some of religious and Ayatollah Mohammad Sadeghi Tehrani on separate amount comments , condemned these reactions and requested the prosecution and punishment of those who caused such actions against Dervishes ” .
The detained Dervishes on 22nd Feb 2009 , were freed gradually . Sixteen of them , without any penal security arrangement , were pressurizing resistance . Finally the revolution’s court of Tehran exonerated Dervishes and postponed investigation into other charge such as , sabotage in social structure and disobedience on police order into the another court branch 1019 of retribution court in Tehran . In April 2009 the change of disobedience was exonerated , but sentence of 6 months suspended imprisonment for the charge of sabotage was announced .These sentence were objected by the lawyers and finally Dervishes were also exonerated from this charge in the state of Tehran revision court .
Dervishes were not aware of the fact that the house of people ( parliament ) were to be under the influence of the special antiriot police forces . The anniversary of Dervish Day is because they are the bind to interfere into usual political activities the reason of this, is that Dervishes believe that this police forces are to secure life ,properties and principles of the people including Dervishes who pay their living expenses by the taxes that people pay. These forces are suppose to secure the county’s brothers in order to eliminate the enemy’s conspiracies , but finally these so called employees of people arrested Dervishes and jailed them .
the shameful feeling is that , the lines of these special antiriot forces were the wall made between the Dervishes or people for not even being able to meet their representatives in the parliament . Neither the Dervishes were allowed to visit their representatives nor any other sections of power between the people and their M.P.s in the reason of separation , or , their oppressive tyrants would not let the clients to visit or to listen to their lawyers ! Perhaps the representatives ashamed of not being able to answer the questions that might be raised by Dervishes . Perhaps parliamentarians are basically or for some reasons frightened of people …
Anyhow , a sections of people decided to pass by their parliament even non-stop and in front of their own house , sign a petition to be given to them.
But,
No letter was signed , and nobody objected the destruction of worship places ( Hosseiniyeh) and attacks on Dervishes , dismissing of Dervishes . from social centers and lashing and imprisoning them.
Dervishes even decided to be silence about the imprisonment lashing of their prayer chaplain . It seems that the Dervishes accidentally comes to experience a walk in a street , that accidentally passes the parliament in order to be arrested for ” saying nothing ” or ” demanding their right ” or even for ” not saying a petition ” . More than 800of them were arrested and interrogated and more than 100 of them were sentenced to solitary confinement in Evin prison . Dervishes did not even protest against these atrocities . But this unfinished story is still going on. The 22nd of Feb 2009 dispute , was called ” The Dervish Day ” . This was done with the unity and cooperation of all Dervishes in the world in order to cherish and respect this day for their sympathy , unity and brotherhood . His excellency Haj Dr. Noor Ali Tabandeh ( MajzoobAliShah) the great Qutb of the Nematollahi Gonabadi , in the first anniversary of Dervish Day commanded in a declaration :

The atrocities which our sufi brothers have had to face from other shia brothers , are unlike any , in the ears of history without any shame of the names of Imam Hossein and other names in the Holy Quran verses destructed them in the Hosseiniyeh of Qom , Boroujerd and Isfahan and dismissed the trusted employees and had worker from there. These beating and harsh-nesses were done only for the reason of their believes on the Nematollahi Gonabadi order . The holy shrine of our leader which is beloved by over followers was insulted and their properties were attached aggressively .
Our news were boycotted , but since we were trying to achieve a fair rule and a just government based on Alavite Islam , We did not seem it correct to be uniformed with toughness . Our simple-ness was used and with the through that the authorities responsible are not aware , we wanted to directly and peacefully connect with our members of parliament , to let them know that what had been done to us . A day was assigned for this , but our voices were shut down.
Since we hope , with all ups and downs of this society, the warning has reached the individual and collectives , that do not let ” the OH of oppressed hearts ” sharpen sharpness . Therefore with reminding all the oppressions we have faced , we advised and hoped for actions to be taken on those adjustments material and moral compensations that were inflicted , but these requests were not done. The enemy’s hand are actively try to disorder the calm and to create discord .
