Kasra Nouri’s Trial Was Not Held, Security Atmosphere In Shiraz’s Revolutionary Court

The second court session for Gonabadi dervish, Kasra Nouri a resident of Shiraz was supposed to be held on 18th Aban 1391 ( Nov 8, 2012).

According to Majzooban reporter, Kasra Nouri who has been confined for more than 8 months in Shiraz Adel Abad prison was transferred to Branch 3 of the Shiraz’s Revolutionary Court to investigate the charges against him.But because, lawyer of this prisoner of conscience was notified of the court date by phone just one day before the trial date, they refused to participate in the hearing and the trial was adjourned to another date.

It should be noted that, on 3th Mehr 1391 ( Sept 24 2012 ) the first court session for Mr.Nouri in Branch 3 of Shiraz’s Revolutionary Court presided over by Judge “Rashidi” and with the presence of defender lawyer, “Mr. Fariborz Yadollahi”, tried Gonabadi dervish, Kasra Nouri on the charges of “interviews with foreign media”,”Propaganda against the regime”, “insulting the leadership”, “membership of deviant group: Majzooban!” and “expose national secrets” and due to the long process of trial, the hearing was postponed.

It is notable that, number of Gonabadi dervishes to express solidarity with this Prisoner of Conscience gathered in front of the Shiraz’s Revolutionary Court too that they were faced with reaction of security forces so, entrance doors of Shiraz’s Revolutionary Court has been controlled by security forces and no one has been allowed to enter.

This security atmosphere has existed even after Kasra Nouri was sent back to Adel Abad Prison.Unfortunately, due to severe security atmosphere, none of the family members of this prisoners of conscience could visit him.

The report states that, this dervish and prisoners of conscience, was transferred by shackles and handcuffs while use of handcuffs and chains for prisoners of conscience and political prisoners is illegal according to the regulations of prisons in Iran. This illegal act is repeated while families of jailed dervishes (who have been held in Shiraz Adel Abad prison), had a meeting with “Mr.Mousa Ahmadi”, the Director general of the Central Prison in Shiraz and they objected to such illegal acts and also Mr Mousa Ahmadi, in response, promised to follow-up the status of prisoners but unfortunately the law was not observed to this Gonabadi darvish.
