Yesterday morning on 11th Dey 1391 (Dec 31, 2012), four Gonabadi dervishes appeared in Branch 2 of Shiraz’s Revolutionary Court to investigate their charges.

According to Majzooban reporter, Mrs. Farzaneh Nouri and Messrs. Saleh Moradi Sarvestani, Behzad Nouri and Farzad Darvish were tried in Branch 2 of Shiraz’s Revolutionary Court on charge of “Propaganda against the regime”, “acting against national security” and “Deviant group (Majzooban Noor) membership”.

In this court session which was attended by Dervishes’s attorneys, some of their allegations were investigated and further proceedings were postponed to another meeting on 8th Bahman (Jan 27, 2013).

Mr. Saleh Moradi who has been held for more than 16 months in Shiraz Adel Abad prison, under tight security, by handcuffs and shackles(!) was taken from prison into the court.

He who is in poor health condition asked the Judge a renewal date of his hearing and the Judge, after listening to his attorney’s defense , issued the bail warrant for his freedom until the final ruling but this Gonabadi dervish rejects the Judge’s proposal and explained that: “So long, my brothers and my coteries are in jail for the same crime, I won’t consent to a “conditional release”! And this bail should be issued from the beginning of my arrest so I did not spend 16 months in prison.”

It is noteworthy that, considerable number of dervishes from Shiraz had come to the Court to express solidarity with these jailed Gonabadi dervishes.
