A Number of MPs Visited Evin Prison and Met Jailed Gonabadi Dervishes

 

 

 

A number of Iranian MPs visited the sections of Evin prison, including sections 209, 240 and 350 and Met with the jailed Gonabadi dervishes.

According to a report by Majzooban Noor, today on 2nd Bahman 1391 ( Jan 21, 2013 ) National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Parliament visited the security sections of Evin Prison (209, 240 and 350) and could meet with jailed Dervishes.

Dervishes by implying they have been held in Evin prison for more than 16 months without trail, told MPs about illegal procedure, political charges against them and violation of law by judge Salavati.

Meanwhile yesterday, the families of these seven Gonabadi dervishes by sending a letter to the Head of IRI Parliament and the National Security Commission, have demanded to investigate the status of these prisoners of conscience.

Seyyed Hossein Naghavi Hosseini, spokesman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Parliament, in an interview with Mehr News Agency said that some parliamentary members visited Evin prison.

He added that, visiting prisons, is regular mission Commission. Messrs. Mohseni Sani, Khodaee Souri , Davatgari and Naeemi, members of the National Security Committee attended the visit.
