It is more than one week since Gonabadi dervish, Arash Shaltouki resident of Karaj arrested and there has been no information on his condition, accusations and reason for his arrest.

According to Majzooban reporter, one week after Arash Shaltouki’s arrest, his family and lawyer could not yet visit and have any contact with him and even his charge is not clear yet. Repeated appeals by his family to Intelligence and Security authorities for information about him have gone unanswered. It seems that no one is accountable.

His lawyer says: even I have not been able to give “Power of attorney” to pursue his case till now and the only information about him is that he is being held in Evin prison and his dossier is in Branch 3 of Shahid Moghaddas prosecution office (Evin).

It must be reminded that, Arash Shaltouki along with three other Gonabadi dervishes were arrested by security forces on the Isfahan-Shahrekord road. Then the detained dervishes were taken to Isfahan, after several hours of interrogation three of them were released but Arash Shaltouki has been transferred to the Ministry of Intelligence’s detention in Evin prison by security forces. Also, by a coordinated and planned action, security forces entered the house of Mr. Shaltouki in Karaj without a warrant and by threatening his family confiscated his personal items such as religious books , videos and cassette tapes, CDs and his personal computer and did not make a detailed inventory of the property they have seized.
