Iran – a country with thousands of years of history – has had very few visitors in the last two years.

Iran’s tourism authorities have introduced several schemes to increase the numbers, but attempts have not been successful.
In a recent move they are focusing on countering the exodus of Iranian tourists abroad and encouraging them to travel domestically.
